Our Vision

Our Mission Statement & Ministry Priorities

We are committed to building a loving church family that is biblically sound, evangelistically passionate, ministry-focused, and radically committed to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior – in worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship.

12 Strategic Ministry Priorities

Our seven core principles are listed below:

Prayer

The purpose of God in prayer is to make us a people who depend on him. Prayer is to seek the Lord at all times, to inquire of Him, to seek His face, and not just His hand, and to lean not on our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge Him, so that He directs our lives. Prayer is to be the core of the church, the backbone of our lives. It is the thread that runs through the tapestry of our lives and ministries. Prayer acknowledges that "without Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)

Worship

Worship is the way we love the Lord our God with all our hearts, minds, souls and strength, and the way that love is expressed in passionate pursuit of God. It is to exalt his name together, to honor him above all else, to make his praise glorious. Worship is to be in Spirit and in truth. Worship is a prelude to Heaven. It is what all creatures in Heaven do incessantly. It is what we were created for. In worship we are rehearsing for Heaven. Heaven's worship is about the Lamb of God as we see it in Revelation. The more we lift up Jesus in song and praise, the greater His applause and the greater His manifest presence with us. The more He is glorified, exalted, praised, and lifted up, the more He fills this place with His presence. Our goal is to exemplify the worship in Heaven on earth. Worthy is the Lamb.

Teaching

The purpose of God is to mature the saints in faith through the preaching and teaching of His Word. Through teaching we mature the saints for the work of ministry, to present every man complete in Him by declaring the whole counsel of God with enthusiastic communication of information, inspiration, and invitation. The goal of all preaching and teaching is to declare God's truth that changes our beliefs and behaviors so that we are more like Jesus. Preaching and teaching exalts the person and work of Jesus Christ so that all men may know Him.

Fellowship

We are called to live together as redeemed people in the family of God. The church is not a worship service we go to once a week, but a family of believers who meet together regularly to live out the "one another" commands of our Lord. Every believer is called to be a member of the body of Christ. Every believer is to be a sheep with a shepherd overseer. Our goal is to love them, feed them, affirm them, encourage them, exhort them, weep with them, laugh with them, eat with them, celebrate with them, and when necessary to rebuke them as brothers and sisters in Christ. We are committed to providing a shepherded flock where mutual love and care permeate the fellowship seven days a week.

Training Leaders

We are commanded to pass on to faithful men (people) what the Lord has taught us that they in turn might teach others also. Leaders need to be trained to lead effectively with passion and grace. Without a proliferation of godly leaders our fellowship will not survive. Our job as pastors according to Ephesians is to equip the saints for the work of ministry to the body of Christ. As Jesus walked with His disciples three and a half years effectively mentoring them to do as He did, so we must invest significant time in building godly leaders through mentoring.

Evangelism

Evangelism is to bring people to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not our purpose to simply invite them to pray a prayer to "accept Christ" but to personally invite him to enter their lives, forgive their sin, and to transform their lives. We are not selling "fire insurance" but we are inviting people to come into a lifelong personal relationship with Jesus Christ in which he is both Savior and Lord of their lives. We do this through clear preaching and teaching what it is to "be saved" and to put one's faith in Jesus Christ, and by leading them to pray a personal prayer of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Once that initial decision is made we assume the responsibility for teaching them to make Jesus Lord everything in their lives.

Outreach

Missions is promoting evangelism and discipleship in other cultures and places where Christ is not known. It involves prayer and financial support of fulltime missionaries who will go and take up residence in other countries and cultures and to proclaim Christ to the nations. It involves personal sacrifice in the form of short-term mission projects and trips to assist missionaries in their task of evangelizing. We believe every believer is to be a missionary because God had only one Son and He made Him a missionary. God cares about lost people, so should we.
