NEAR

  • We are going to be recognizing and praying for our teachers.
  • We are collecting backpacks and school supplies for students in need in the Grove City Area School District. We are especially hoping to fill the need of backpacks for middle school and high school students and are suggesting the Jansport Big Student bag for this purpose.


FAR

  • Corn With a Cause - Purchase ears of corn with proceeds benefitting both our partnerships with Envision Cleveland and its Vocational Technical School and Shared Hope for Orphans Worldwide (SHOW) school and orphanage in Uganda.
  • Cutie Pie Cupcakes Food Truck will be on hand if you're craving a tasty treat and 10% of sales will also support Envision Cleveland & SHOW.

It's going to be a fantastic service on the hill!

This August, we are collecting school supplies as part of the United Way's Stuff the Bus campaign. These supplies will be available to students in our local community as they prepare for back to school. We would like to focus our collection effort on supplies for middle & high school students especially the backpacks, which is the area of greatest need for the United Way.

To participate:
  1. Pick an envelope from the board in the lobby. Envelopes will be available between Sunday, July 30 and Sunday, August 6.
  2. Purchase the item pictured on the envelope you took. You may purchase one or more of the items. If you intend to purchase a backpack, we strongly suggest purchasing a Jansport Big Student Backpack.​
  3. Bring your items to the outdoor service on Sunday, August 13. If you are unable to attend the service, you may drop off items at the church on Friday, August 11 or Monday, August 14 between 10AM and 3PM. You may also have items shipped directly to the church using the Amazon Wishlist. (Note: Please ensure items are expected to arrive prior to Monday, August 14).

things to keep in mind when planning

for outdoor sunday services

  • We are meeting at our Grove City Alliance Church campus outside. The service will begin at 10AM but we encourage you to arrive early to find your spot on the hillside!
  • There will be live preaching, music and a kids activity.
  • 70% of our seating will be on the hillside which may make sitting in a chair difficult. We are encouraging all our young families, teens, etc. to bring a blanket and sit on the hillside. There will be seating for lawn chairs and ask that these be used for those who need to sit in a chair. (Some have discovered that beach sand chairs work great on the hillside. 
  • We do have shade sails! You will see that we have added shade sails that should accommodate over 300 people in the shade.
  • Bring a blanket or lawn chair (see above), sunscreen, water, and other items to help you feel comfortable outdoors.
  • We are LIVESTREAMING our outdoor service, if you are unable to attend in person, you can find us on youtube or facebook.
  • If inclement weather is in the forecast for 10AM we will move our services indoors at 9:00AM and 10:30AM. Announcements for this scenario will be shared on our website and social media platforms. You may also opt-in for text alerts: Text gcalliance to 724-200-3070 to sign up!
  • Nursery is available for ages birth - 2 years. Nursery will be in the church building.
  • Offerings can be dropped off in offering boxes, online, or mailed to our church office.
