Outdoor Celebration Service — This Sunday!

This Sunday, September 13, we’re bringing the whole GCAC family together for one outdoor worship service at 10:00 AM on the GCAC hillside!

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join us for live worship, preaching, testimonies, and a great morning together as one church family. There will be activities for kids during the service, and nursery care for children from birth through age 2 will be available inside the church building.

And plan to stay after the service — we’re having a GCAC Family Celebration!

There will be food, inflatables, the Patriot Obstacle Course, Human Foosball, Crazy Monkey Castle, Gaga, hayrides, and plenty of opportunities to spend time together and connect with others.

Food

Come hungry! Food options will include:

Oasis Student Ministry: Pulled pork sandwiches, walking tacos, and pop
Celebrate Recovery: Hamburgers and hot dogs
Common Grounds: Lemonade Bar
Mr. Snowman Food Truck

Food from our GCAC ministry areas will be available by donation — cash or check only. Mr. Snowman Food Truck is separate and will have its own pricing/payment options.

College-Age Students

We especially want our college-age students to join us!

Grove City College students: Common Grounds buses will pick up students at 9:30 and 9:40 AM for the 10:00 AM service.

After the service, look for the Common Grounds College Ministry area under the big tree. College-age students can connect there, and vouchers will be available toward select food choices. There will also be chips, drinks, dessert, and the Common Grounds Lemonade Bar.

Awana Families

We’re also using Sunday to help kick off the 2026–27 Awana year!

After the service, stop by the Kids Ministry banner to meet the team, connect with us, and learn more about the upcoming Awana year.

It’s a great opportunity for current Awana families — and anyone interested in getting involved — to find out what’s coming this year.

What If It Rains?

If weather prevents us from meeting outdoors, we will move inside and return to our normal three Sunday service times:

8:00 AM | 9:30 AM | 11:00 AM

Any weather-related change will be communicated through our website, social media, and church text alerts.

things to keep in mind when planning

for outdoor sunday services

We are meeting at our Grove City Alliance Church campus outside. The service will begin at 10AM but we encourage you to arrive early to find your spot on the hillside!

There will be live preaching, music and a kids activity.

70% of our seating will be on the hillside which may make sitting in a chair difficult. We are encouraging all our young families, teens, etc. to bring a blanket and sit on the hillside. There will be seating for lawn chairs and ask that these be used for those who need to sit in a chair. (Some have discovered that beach sand chairs work great on the hillside.

We do have shade sails! You will see that we have added shade sails that should accommodate over 300 people in the shade.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair (see above), sunscreen, water, and other items to help you feel comfortable outdoors.

We are LIVESTREAMING our outdoor service, if you are unable to attend in person, you can find us on youtube or facebook.

If inclement weather is in the forecast for 10AM we will move our services indoors at 8:00AM, 9:30AM and 11:00AM. Announcements for this scenario will be shared on our website and social media platforms. You may also opt-in for text alerts: Text gcalliance to 724-200-3070 to sign up!

Nursery is available for ages birth - 2 years. Nursery will be in the church building.

Offerings can be dropped off in offering boxes, online, or mailed to our church office.
