The primary goal of the Apprenticeship Program is to equip those who have a desire to grow in their ability to ministry and serve the church and the world for the remainder of their lives. This is reached through exposure to and training in vocational campus ministry, biblical and theological training, leadership life-skills coaching, and spiritual care. An apprentice would train under a seasoned Campus Staff Mentor in pursuit of professional development for their future careers. This person would serve a 1-2 year term in which they would gain valuable experience and skills to transfer into their particular calling.
We are looking for two full time staff to join with other staff to reach the 18-24 year old emerging adults. Our focus of this ministry is to catalyze Kingdom transformation at Grove City College (GCC) and Slippery Rock University (SRU) by sharing the Gospel, inviting students into the life of the local church, and mobilizing the Christian community to engage in ministry on campus. We want staff to develop collaboration between church/community members and students that promotes strong biblical discipleship, life long commitment to the Church, and the flourishing of Christ’s kingdom in their local context and all areas of life. This staff person will accomplish this through one on one discipleship, facilitating small groups, creating transformational opportunities and reaching the needs of our emerging adult population of 500+ students.
